- Ice cream sandwiches are always a tasty treat on a hot summer day. I like to pack my freezer with them so that they are ready when I am in the mood for one. Mariah’s Pleasing Plates put together some delicious sounding Lemon and Toasted Coconut Ice Cream Sandwiches that offer a cool and refreshing treat. The lemon cookies sandwich a filling made with a combination of vanilla ice cream, lemon curd and toasted coconut, then the sandwiches are rolled in more toasted coconut before freezing.
- Eat It and Say Yum made some Patriotic Ice Cream Sandwiches that are a colorful dessert to serve for the Fourth of July. The sandwiches start with red velvet cake, which is poured into a pan and baked in a very thin layer to form the sides of the sandwiches. The filling is vanilla ice cream, which is rolled in bright red, white and blue sprinkles. They’re easy to make and sure to be a showstopper when you pull them out of the freezer.

The donuts are made with a lightly sweetened buttermilk batter and are topped with a cinnamon crumble topping that is addictive with or without a donut underneath it. The baked donuts are them drizzled with cinnamon and vanilla icing, adding a bit of extra sweetness and ensuring that your fingers get plesantly sticky when you eat them.
- Buzzed Cherry Bombs are a treat that is for grownups only, but it is one that will likely remind you of the Firecracker pops you ate as a child (and perhaps still eat to this day!). The recipe, from Frosting and A Smile consists of cherries that are soaked in vodka, then dipped in white chocolate and blue sprinkles to give them a colorful Fourth of July look. They’re a one bite treat that is sure to attract some oohs and aahs when you serve them at a party.
